We are the Taunton Deane Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The route goes across fields skirting Cothay Manor on the lane. It then follows the remains of Grand Western Canal to Greenham where we can visit the church by stream. We follow the line of the canal then take a quiet lane uphill to Tracebrdge to Ashbrittle Greenham lane. Finally we take a footpath across fields to Appley. There are one or two stiles on the route.
There is a community shop near Appley school where tea or coffee is available.
Parking is available at the Globe Inn where there is a charity donation box on the bar. For those wanting lunch food is available until 2.00 pm
