Clicket, a lost village. The good old days!! Single file track, rough underfoot, (poles recommended) to the village that time forgot. (No dinosaurs or Amazons) but beautiful Holloway path, wild garlic, bluebells, primroses and stones. No mud but quarter inch of water in parts, walking boots preferred but stout trainers ok. 2 fallen trees, 1 metre clearance to go under. Lots of history, then short steep climb to picturesque scenery on road back.
Suggested route from Taunton (21 miles) is to Williton, left towards Minehead, in Washford turn left towards “Tithe Barn”, turn right to Luxbourgh by “White Horse pub”, turn right immediately after “Royal Oak” pub in Luxbourgh, right at the cedar tree on the tarmac not hardcore. This way is far prettier than Lydeard-st-Lawrence / Raleigh’s Cross which has two 1 in 5 steep downhills on country lanes, which is the way Google maps and W3W’s will take you. I would switch Google maps/W3W’s on at Williton. The route is worth the drive, lots of quaint villages.
