Brown Clee is another great area to walk in our wonderful Shropshire Hills, with Abdon Burf summit the highest point in the county. The walk starts at the eastern side of the hills in the "walker friendly" Boyne Estate. From here there is a steady climb through the woods passing some magnificent old trees. We then enter elevated open heathland contouring around the hills, followed by a climb up to a lovely ridge on the top of Brown Clee, offering superb all round views. The route then gradually descends through the woods and parkland by some attractive pools back to the car park.
Hill climbing is mainly gradual but there is a couple of short steeper sections, however they will be taken at a pace to suit all. Please bring food and drinks for a short elevenses break and lunch stop.
