Past Haresteads Farm and into Lyme Park. Head south, skirting Pursefields Wood to join the North Cheshire Way. Exit the park and ascend Black Moor to join the Gritstone Trail before ascending to Higher Moor (402m). Return via The Cage and Lyme Park visitor centre to retrace our steps to the car park. Risk assessment: Very short stretches of road walking on minor roads, lots of moorland walking, paths may be uneven and possibly very muddy in places, some stiles, may be sheep/cattle.
