This walk covers various fields and tracks to the South of Pentyrch. There are pleasant views over the Vale and Cardiff given good conditions.
We will also pass three examples of memorial plaques to a late member of our group, Trevor Whatley who was a volunteer footpath maintenance worker in the 1990s and 2000s.
There are four stiles, none of which have dog latches.
There are two main climbs, the first on leg 3 of around 90 metres is along sunken tracks which may be partly overgrown, wet and muddy; the second, leg 4 of 70 metres includes some undulations.
There is one road crossing were care will be needed.
