PLACES ON OUR WALKS MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE.
Our route will introduce some of the best beechwoods on the NT Ashridge Estate. Walking from the Bridgewater Monument (33m high) out towards Moneybury Hill and into the to Flat Isley plantation. Continue into Crawley Wood, taking care not to trample the bluebells, and discover the Trig Point at 249 metres (Higher than the Beacon of 233m). Onwards to find the wild garlic covering the forest floor prior to Ward's Hurst Farm. Then walking alongside Ringshall Coppice where we can admire the renovation work undertaken by the NT volunteers. Follow onto Ivinghoe Common and cross into Ashridge Golf Course leaving by Old Park Lodge. Enter Thunderdell Wood and over into Northchurch Common where you can enjoy your packed lunch. Follow paths through more beechwoods back to Marley Meadow and NT Bridgewater Monument. No dogs please.
