A circular walk through the south Northamptonshire countryside. We will start near the Old Crown in Ashton Village and cross under the railway crossing fields to Hartwell. We will skirt Hartwell village crossing open fields via several farms before turning back towards our starting point crossing over the railway on a footbridge and then following a footpath to enter Ashton village returning to our starting point. Much of the walk is on established footpaths and bridleways across the gently undulating farmland in this part of Northamptonshire. There is some road walking on roads that see little traffic even at the busiest of times. There are 5 stiles, which are all in a good state to repair.
