Overview

Circular Walk : This figure of 8 route follows the Macclesfield Canal towpath, fields and lanes from Astbury Golf Club to Astbury before taking tracks and paths to Astbury Mere. We then follow Lamberts Lane and the canal back to the golf club. Ascent 296 feet. Astbury Golf Club open for coffee/cuppa post walk. No 'coffee' stop during walk. We ask walkers to contact the leader to book a place on the walk. This helps them with their risk assessment. Non-members are welcome to try up to 3 walks before joining Ramblers.
