We are the Telford & East Shropshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A walk along a scenic undulating stretch of the Shropshire Way from Aston on Clun over Hopesay Hill through fields, past a hill fort and woods, towards Kempton and back. This is classic Shropshire in one of the quietest places under the sun. There are three short steeper climbs, the longest of which is approximately 130m / 126 ft of ascent. Please bring a packed lunch, drink and snack for this all day walk. Dogs only with prior permission of the leader following the recce on a day before the walk start as there may be livestock. The walk starts from the Village Hall which is next to the Community Shop. Parking has been arranged in special section in overflow car park at the Village Hall. To access the overflow car park you drive down the side of the hall and through the gates, continue down the track to go through another gate, then this track will lead you into the bottom field at the back of the green where you can park. Please pre book with the leader by text to 07903 325011 as we need to inform the hall about car numbers allowed.
