We are the Ponteland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We head up, through the southern outskirts of Bedlington. We then follow the Hartford Road down to Plessey Woods, where we do a circuit of the Country Park before heading back to the Hartford Hall Estate where we take the riverside path back to the car park.
This walk will be wet and muddy in places, so gaiters and a stick are recommended.
If some people want a shorter walk then they can miss the loop around Plessey Woods and head back along the river when we get to Hartford Hall which is 4.9 miles.
The will be a coffee stop on this walk.
