Overview

Starting in the Averon Centre car park, you head out of Alness, through the golf course and then into mature woodland along the banks of the River Averon. We cross the river, continue a little further and then head back down the other side, continuing down to the Cromarty Firth shoreline and along to the end of the Yankee Pier. A lovely mixed walk with woodland, river and firth views. A combination of circular and linear detours, along mostly well established paths and mostly low level terrain. After the walk, there is an option to decamp to Dalmore Farm Café for tea & cakes!
