Overview

Meet 0900 – Start 1000 - Grade B -  OS Sheet 35 – NGR  NH793024

Directions: Approx 42 miles south of Inverness and 10 miles south of Aviemore park at layby 117 on left of A9. 

Route:  After crossing the road the route commences initially with a slight ascent through woodland where we will have our morning tea break. We then head to open moorland gently ascending eventually crossing  a wooden bridge over Raitts Burn to a bothy  for lunch.  The route throughout is all on good track. Lots of wildlife and good views of the Cairngorms.  Return by outward route.  For those who wish post walk coffee, cake and craic, The Barn at Rothiemurchus, Costa, and Tiso – have all tried and tested!
