Overview

Through town to take the Bar Road up to Baslow Edge. Stay on old road then turn south across open moorland to Birchen Edge, passing the Three Ships rock formation and Nelsons Monument to Robin Hood. Continue across Robin Hood Plantation to Dobbs Edge and enter Chatsworth Estate. Follow tracks through the estate passing  Emperor Lake and Swiss Lake down to Beeley Lodge. Then follow riverside paths north passing in front of Chatsworth House back to Baslow.
