A linear walk starting from Dover Priory Train Station ending at Folkestone Central Train Station with a detour to Folkestone Harbour Arm at the end for food and drinks (highly recommended). If you do not intend to go to the Harbour Arm please let me know at the beginning of the walk.
We will predominantly be walking along the England Coast Path, however for anyone interested in History, particularly WWII history we will be able to stop and admire some of the old defence placements as well as a stop at the Battle of Britain Memorial (cafe and toilets) on the top of Capel-le-Ferne, with a couple of older forts to see near the beginning.
This is a hilly walk and is exposed, so please bring suitable clothing. It can be very hot, very wet and very windy (hopefully not on the same day!) on occasion. The route is 10 miles and we will have plenty of time to look at the historical sites along the way.
