This walk has been cancelled

Prolonged rain, which is forecast to continue for the next 24 hours, has created unsafe (extreme muddy /slippery) conditions underfoot.

Overview

Beautiful Beckford  5.5 miles - meet at St John the Baptist Church , 2 The Gables, Beckford GL20 7AD. Please park considerately in the village. We will be walking on quiet roads and paths up the lower slopes of Bredon Hill. If you don’t like hills this might not be the walk for you! However we will take it at a steady pace and no-one will be left behind. There will be at least 40 minutes uphill climb which is long but not steep. Hopefully we will see Kites and have good views if the weather is kind. Approximately 2 stiles and a visit to Beckford Nature Reserve will be made if it’s not too muddy.

There is a very good cafe in Beckford Village if anyone would like refreshments after the walk.
