Overview

Through Bedford's riverside along the Great Ouse past bridges, locks and weirs, then through Priory Country Park and then onto Castle Mill Lock. We return via lakes and the Ouse Valley Way, then along the river to the Castle Mound and pedestrianised centre.

Use toilets on train or at Bedford station, then none until lunch.

Lunch: café or picnic at the Cloverdale Retreat in Priory Country Park.

Train: London St Pancras 9:45 (Corby train), Arr 10:25.
