Starting in the car park opposite the Novar Arms in Evanton, we walk up through the Evanton Community Woods, over the spectacular Black Rock gorge, and make our way onto the windfarm road for a while. We circle right, up the hill in the direction of Little Fyrish before descending back down into Evanton. Large parts of the walk have lovely views of the hills behind Evanton including Ben Wyvis (weather permitting!).The walk is a rough figure of 8 route. Mostly on tracks and established paths, with some continuous but gentle ascents. The going is likely to be muddy and wet underfoot.
