Overview

This walk takes in a mixture of urban and rural settings, including a recreation ground with wild areas, open fields, shady lanes, some woodland and short sections of suburban streets. We will pass the Solihull Riding and dog walking centre. The path uses pavements, surfaced and unsurfaced paths - some a bit muddy, and field paths. There will be one water filled ditch to negotiate. There are only 2 stiles. We will cross the M42, initially on a roundabout using pavements, but care will need to be taken when crossing roads, and again on the return using a pedestrian overbridge.

I was lucky enough to see 2 deer on the recce, so perhaps they will reappear for us.

We will go into Knowle for refreshments after the walk.
