This circular walk begins and ends at The Three Horseshoes Pub in Bighton. Will leave Bighton on Nettlebed Lane, a quiet country road before taking the Oxdrove Way along the ridge. After leaving the Oxdrove Way, we will cross fields that are likely to have a herd of cows grazing near the footpath and gates. They are accustomed to walkers, but if being close to cattle makes you uncomfortable, this may not be the right walk for you. We will head back through the charming Bighton wood before returning to the pub carpark.
We’ll begin with a longer hill before joining the steadily rising, undulating Oxdrove Way. Some paths are likely to be muddy, so please wear sturdy footwear.
There are no facilities as the pub will not be open yet.
We will take a very short break about halfway, when we have reached the top, to catch our breath and enjoy the view (weather permitting).
