Overview

The walk begins following the Thames path on the south bank before crossing the river and walking on the north bank to The Heads of the River pub. We then strike northwards along Poplar Walk through Christ Church Meadow. We then skirt along the edge of Merton Field and the Botanical Gardens, heading north to University Parks. The route continues north along the River Cherwell to Cherwell Bridge before cutting back westwards through Sunnymead to Goose Green and the Thames once again. The route crosses the river and then runs through Wolvercote Common before returning to the pub.
