**** WALK CANCELLED ****

Hi all, apologies, given the weather, dropping attendance and I also am not feeling 100% myself this morning we have decided to cancel this event, we will relist for later in the year and hopefully on a drier day!

****

Autumn is upon us and how better to celebrate than a thoroughly autumnal ramble, including some dedicated time for blackberrying!

Meeting at Great Missenden, we'll start off by heading uphill through Angling Spring Wood, said to be  inspiration for some of Roald Dahl's books, where we can admire the changing colours of the leaves. We'll pass through some open fields as we reach the top of the  hill, before plunging once  moore into Peterly Wood.

Here we'll head over the road into Peterly Manor Farm, a local farm café, shop and PYO establishment. Here we'll spend about an hour, where you can:

  • Pick blackberries from the abundant hedgerows that line the farm (bring something to store the blackberries in)
  • Have lunch or a drink at their new Barn Kitchen café
  • Check out the farm shop stocked with local goods

Once everyone has had their fill we'll head off down the track towards Little Kingshill, where if we're lucky we'll get to see some Alpacas, before making our way gently downhill back to Great Missenden.

Meeting point is at Link Road car park (HP16 9AE), which is 5 mins walk from Great Missenden station and free on Sundays.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring plenty of water.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead at all times and are the responsibility of the owner.
