Overview

A great walk from Littleborough station up to Blackstone Edge for great views over Greater Manchester.

Starting out from Littleborough station to Eales crossing the Rochdale canal to start climbing up via Lydgate and Cowbury Hill to the White House Inn for a well earned lunch break. After lunch its an easy climb via the Aiggin Stone to the summit of Blackstone Edge for those fine views over Greater Manchester. Its then back to the Aiggin Stone and down the "Roman Road" to Lydgate and back to Littleborough station.

Half way round the walk will be a stop at the White House Inn for about an hour for lunch/refreshments. If you plan on having lunch in the pub, please let us know so we can book you a place at a table.

There are no toilets at or near Littleborough station.
