We are the Doncaster Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Due to a necessary last minute change in arrangements today's 7.5 mile walk will start from the layby at St Michael's Church in Rossington and finish at The Styrrup pub (just round the corner) for drinks and Bob's (in)famous quiz. We walk along footpaths and lanes to the south of Doncaster passing Hayfield Lakes, the River Torne, Hatchell Wood and Mount Pleasant (but not necessarily in that order!).
The quiz will take place in the Styrrup public house at Rossington, where a room has been set aside for our use. The pub does not do food, but the landlord is happy for us to eat our sandwiches in the pub. Please do not consume your own hot drinks as the pub sells them.
