From Central Reading we follow the Kennet westward past Fobney Island to Southcote. We then join the route of the disused goods line until we intercept Holybrook which we follow back towards Reading with an optional cafe stop in Reading at the end of the walk. The walk is fairly flat and easy but you are advised to wear stout footwear and a hat for sun protection. Bring plenty of water with you to prevent dehydration and a small snack for a break en-route.
Meet outside the Vue Cinema in the Oracle centre on the riverside. Walk to leave at 10;30. Reading is well served by public transport and this is the recommended mode of transport as parking is extremely expensive in Central Reading.
