Overview

Meeting in Reading at 09:15 at the station, this is an interesting and varied London city walk starting from the Monument and heading north to the iconic buildings in the heart of the city, old and new side by side, plus sculptures en-route. We head down to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge by the Thames for a short break before we proceed through St Catherines dock and follow the canal route up through some of the Docklands to the east where we board the train to return to Reading. The walk is flat and easy but about 5.5 miles in length. Please bring water and a packed lunch.
