We are the Mid Berks Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
An interesting London walk from London Bridge to Greenwich taking in many points of interest on the way starting from Reading station to catch a train and underground to London Bridge where the walk will start at approximately 11:00.
Although the walk is leisurely it is around 6.5 miles long and couple this with the travel from Reading makes it a full days outing. There are transport links en-route so there are opportunities for shortening the walk if necessary. It uses the Thames Path on the south river bank for a lot of the way and there many points of interest on the way. Once in Greenwich we will be using the foot tunnel to cross the Thames and catch a DLR train and head towards Reading.
Meet at Reading Railway station at 9:15 in order to purchase an off peak travel card either with a rail card or discounted group travel.
