Overview

Outdooractive measures this walk around The Box Hill Estate and Mickleham at 4.9 miles but when recced it was 5.2 miles. The walk mostly follows well marked paths and trails through woodland with occasional splendid views. There are no stiles and although measured at a modest 4.9 miles there are 3 steep ascents and 2 long descents totalling circa 745ft. Please note that immediately on leaving the car park there is a steep ascent up the hill side using well-made wooden sleepers of 188 steps. We will of course take our time and this is an excellent time to have a fully charged smart watch.
