Overview

This morning's circular walk begins at Boxford Village Hall and Recreation Ground. Our route takes us through attractive rolling countryside to the north-west of Newbury, and we start off in a westerly direction along the Lambourn Valley Way, before turning south past Sole Farm and then west again over Sole Common to cross the B4000. We continue west and then north, passing close to Wormstall House, before reaching Wickham Church, where we shall stop for a short break. We then walk through Wickham village, recrossing the B4000 and heading for Tullock Farm, before rejoining the Lambourn Valley Way as we return to Boxford.

There are some gentle ups and downs, and a couple of stiles. Conditions underfoot should be pretty firm on the whole, but there may still be one or two muddy, boggy patches.
