Get away from it all with a peaceful walk through the gently undulating landscape around Boxford, using predominately field and woodland paths with the occasional very short stretch of quiet lane. There may be sheep, cows or horses grazing in some of the fields, and the hedgerows should be displaying their autumn colours.
There are 7 stiles and 3 sets of steps. Potentially muddy if it rains a lot before the walk as some paths cross agricultural fields and some are bridleways. Refreshments available in Boxford at the end of the walk.
NB The last stile is quite high (Chris is barely 5 feet tall and managed it, and both of us needed to use the"ladder" rungs above the initial step). There is an alternative route but it involves a stretch of road with no pavement, albeit through the village.
