An interesting local walk to walk off any excesses from Christmas day.
Starting from the Tesco car park, we will be walking a figure of 8. After crossing the main road, we use the gravel trackway out to Pewsham locks where we follow the canal towpath for a while. We then cross the canal at Double Bridge to turn back and get onto the footpath on the other side. We follow this through fields until we get to Nocketts Hill. We then head down towards the A4 before turning and going through some woods and along field edges to get us back to the locks. We then follow a slightly different route back to the starting point.
We meet and start the walk from the car park outside the Tesco Express at Lodge Road , Pewsham, Chippenham, SN15 3SY. O/S Explorer No 156.
