We are the Rutland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Heading west from the church we’ll pass South Lodge Farm then climb to the tack on the ridge. Turning left we follow a grassy track along the ridge top before turning right through fields and a small wood to join the Leicestershire Round for a short distance.
A grassy track passes into a tarmac track taking us to Leigh Lodge where we turn sharply left and follow the Rutland Round past Prior’s Coppice to return Braunston.
Starting elevation 374 feet
There are a small number of stiles.
Given the time of year expect it to be muddy in places.
Dogs are accepted on this walk, although they must be on leads at all times.
Coffee stop but no lunch stop during the walk
The Blue Ball should be open when we return to Braunston
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
