We are the Bromley Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From the village of Brenchley we climb to the viewpoint by Windmill Hill. We soon join the High Weald Landscape Trail towards Horsmonden before branching off past Nevergood Farm and eventually climbing up to Goudhurst for lunch.
You should note that this is a linear walk which returns along the same paths as in the morning.
The walk passes through the huge orchard of Hononton Farm, and then past the impressive Furnace Pond and the National Trust house at Sprivers. Shortly afterwards, it passes through a hop garden, an orchard and a vineyard one after the other. As you might expect from a Landscape Trail there are good views.
Lunch will be at Goudhurst. The Star and Eagle will cater for pub lunchers. Picknickers can sit by the nearby church or go the duck pond further down the hill. There are toilets near the pond. The excellent Weeks baker and team room is halfway up the hill and can brighten your picnic lunch.
There is a small car park with just 10 places and public toilets in the High Street . It's next to a doctor's surgery and is usually quite full. It's mentioned only because of the toilets. The location pin on the map is in Broad Oak, a street just by the High Street, and it will take plenty of cars - so park there please and leave the car park to the doctor's patients.
