Overview

A walk exploring the history, parks and woodlands around Dulwich and Forest Hill in conjunction with the London Blind Ramblers.  We walk down London's last toll road (horses cost 3d but people and dogs go free) past Dulwich College, then into the pretty park where we will stop for an early lunch (please bring a snack as cafe will be busy).  We then continue with a bit of road walking into the Horniman Gardens and One Tree Hill for fine London views.  We return via the Horniman Gardens and Sydenham/Dulwich wood.  Toilets are available towards the beginning and end of the walk.  Please note: there are hills and steps, some with railings, and some paths may be muddy and uneven underfoot, so please bring suitable footwear. Direct trains available from Bromley South, Orpington and Victoria.  Offers of an arm or shoulder (as required) to a partially sighted person would be welcome.
