Overview

This Sunday with Pam and Howard we have a 9 mile moderate circular walk exploring the local countryside around Brewood, following field and woodland paths, canal tow path and some quiet lanes.

There are 4 stiles and, as usual at this time of year, it's muddy in places.

Directions(Google maps): Chillington Car Park,Port Lane, Coven, Brewood, Wolverhampton WV9 5BH From your home location join A5 Westbound. At Gailey Island continue A5 for 800m then turn left into Claygates Road. Follow this road for 1.8k then at bend after river bridge turn sharp left into Tinkers Lane( this bypasses Brewood) and follow for 1.5k to crossroads junction with Coven Road. Go straight over into Port Lane and follow for 950m then fork right where small sign says Chillington Hall. Car park entrance 80m on left. Please take care it's all narrow lanes after A5.
