Overview

A  strenuous walk, climbing from the spa village of Bridge of Allan towards  the dominant landmark peak of Dumyat.  A fine view of Wallace Monument at Yellow Craig and  outstanding viewpoints at Dumyat summit.

The walk takes us half way  up Dumyat ( elevation 1075) where we then circle back down towards Cockburn Reservoir. There will be the option to spur off and climb to the top of Dumyat if weather permitting.  ( elevation 1350)

Mostly good paths but there are tree roots and parts of the paths can be muddy. There is a steep incline, a small burn to cross and one gate to climb over before we start the walk up Dumyat.
