The walk starts from The Old Mill at Bromham and then passes through the picturesque villages of Stevington, Pavenham, and Oakley. A scenic, mostly flat, rural Bedfordshire walk that offers a mix of tranquil riverbank paths, farmland, and quiet country lanes and features the iconic Stevington Windmill and the River Great Ouse. The route frequently follows parts of the Ouse Valley Way and the John Bunyan Trail.
The starting point of the walk is about 35 minutes’ drive from Milton Keynes. In addition, there may be limited available car parking space at the starting point of the walk. For these two reasons, if practicable, please meet at Caldecotte Lake for shared lifts to the starting point.
