Overview

This Sunday Ramble starts from the back corner of Petersfinger Park and Ride, Southampton Road. We start with a circuit of Burrough's Hill, Laverstock with far reaching views and then continue  through Clarendon Park (woodland) out to Pitton past the remains of Clarendon Palace. (The walk round Burrough's Hill can be omitted reducing the walk to 8.5 miles; please let walk leader know when booking if you would like to do this option). Walking is mainly on the Clarendon Way and Old Sarum Way which should be generally good underfoot. There might be stretches of mud and some exposed slippery chalk depending on the weather so good footwear is advisable. There is a mixture of woodland and open downland walking. Map: EX130.

Everyone is welcome. If you would like to join this walk, please notify the walk leader (Liz P 07768621058) or email swrsundaywalks@gmail.com.

There will be two stops during the day for coffee and lunch (please bring a picnic)
