This is a linear bus assisted walk from Pershore to Stoulton and is the first stage of the 100 mile long Millenium Way. We commence at the bus stop in Pershore and walk down to, then along the River Avon, before heading north through Tiddesley Wood nature reserve and over fields and woodlands to Wadborough and on to Stoulton, where the walk finishes. The walk involves 5 stiles. Further details can be found on the Millenium Way website.
Please note that as a bus walk there are various options available for getting to the start and back from the finish of the walk (see additional details below). For those driving to the meeting point (Stoulton) you'll need to arrive at 09.30 to catch the bus to Pershore. We'll then walk back to our cars at Stoulton.
For those driving to join the walk please park at the northern end of the long Hawbridge lay-by by 9.30am. You'll then need to walk back the short distance into Stoulton to catch the bus that's scheduled to arrive at the bus lay-by opposite Jacksons Motor garage at 09.51.
The walk itself will start from the bus stop next to Sugar Plum Tea Rooms on Broad Street, Pershore, WR10 1AY when the 09.35 X50 bus from Worcester Bus Station is scheduled to arrive at 10.06.
For those wishing not to use a car its possible to catch the bus at any point on the X50's route from Worcester to Pershore to get to the start as well as catching the bus back from the end of the walk from Stoulton.
It is also possible to join the group at Pershore and catch the X50 back from Stoulton.
