Overview

This is a brisk pace, moderate walk with ups to 780 -1,000 ft and downs. Starting from the pretty village of East Meon to see beautiful views from one of the highest points on the South Downs Way, Buster Hill picnic area. From East Meon we go to Henwood Down via Garston Farm and Halnacker Lane to join the South Downs Way. From there we walk from Coombe Cross up Salt Hill to Leydene Park Sustainability centre. Then continue on the South Downs Way Via Hyden and Tegdown Hills to Buster Hill. On an extra fine day we will go up to the very top of Buster Hill 1,000ft for Wonderfull views. Descending on the steep West side of Rake Bottom onto Lime kiln Lane, Leythe House Farm, Cumbers Lane, Greenway Copse to return to East Meon.

The chalky and grassy paths are slippery when damp, so bring poles. There are gravelly paths with some walking on tarmac. Buster Hill is exposed so dress warmly, bring an extra layer just in case.

Bring coffee and picnic although if cafes are open these may be purchased. 

Dogs to be kept on a lead at the back.
