Overview

Buttermere is a scenic lake in the Lake District, surrounded by mountains and owned by the National Trust. It offers a footpath round the lake, walks to Haystacks and Red Pike, and a memorial to Alfred Wainwright. This leisurely walk will take us around the lake to enjoy the views without venturing up the surrounding mountains.
