Overview

Our 8 mile walk starts from Van road car park. We start by heading Eastwards through Coed Parc-y-fan and Rudry common where we will head south to Cefn-on and the Rhymney valley ridgeway walk. After stopping for a cuppa by the disused quarry, we head West to the Black Cock pub where we will have lunch. It is then a climb up to the trig point on Caerphilly common, past the Caerphilly mountain snack bar and northeast back to the carpark. Great views, weather permitting.
