Overview

WALK CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WEATHER

We follow old tracks leading to Waltham St Lawrence, a Saxon village owned in 1006 by Ethelred the Unready and then back via Effie's Copse This is an easy, circular, mainly level walk with one stone ledge stile to cross but can be very muddy after wet periods so do come suitably prepared. At the end of this very pleasant walk, we conveniently pass the "Royal Oak" pub where we may wish to call in for some light refreshment. Bring a drink and a snack.
