Overview

This walk combines the last two sections of the Capital Ring to complete the circle. The walk is mainly based on firm paths and pavements through a largely green urban environment. The beginning of the walk takes us along the River Lea and is shared with many cyclists who sometimes cycle too fast and too close so be aware and walk single file along this first part of the walk.
The full walk is optional and there are plentiful drop of points with good links to public transport.

To fully complete the circle the walk should conclude with a journey through the Woolwich foot tunnel but if you prefer you can finish at the north side of the Thames and make your way to the DLR stop at King George V station. If you cross the Thames via the tunnel you have several transport options. 1 Woolwich Station - Elizabeth Line 2 Woolwich Arsenal - DLR Please note that these are two distinct and separate stations albeit not too far away from each other. 3 Woolwich Uber Ferry towards central London - even with a Freedom Pass this will cost.
