Overview

An 8.5 mile circular walk from Fiskerton Rail Station visiting Southwell in Nottinghamshire. An early start. Meet at Leicester Rail Station for the 7.50 train to Fiskerton (via Nottingham). The walk will start at about 9.15 from Fiskerton Railway Station. The morning will be a six mile walk through Fiskerton village, a short stretch along the River Trent and then to Southwell for lunch. We plan an extended lunch break in Southwell to allow plenty of time to look around the town and visit the magnificent 12th century Minster. (Admission is free.) Return to Leicester on the direct train leaving Fiskerton at 16.05.
