This circular walk is a nice mix of Upland moor, woodland & the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. From the start at Parrog beach we ascend up through Newport village to reach the moorland known as Carn Ingli Common which is crowned at its summit by the rocky outcrop of Carn Ingli. After progressing West roughly along the top of the Common the route drops down to the NW & crosses the A487 to descend through the wooded Cwm Dyffryn to reach the Coast Path. This leads us East back to the start with lovely sea views along the rocky cliff tops. There is a cafe near to the car park if refreshments are desired.
This is a joint walk with Clwb Cerdded -Tregaron -Walking club. The car park at Parrog beach is free but does get crowded so it is important to car share if possible. The narrowish road down to the car park is a right turn off the A487 about 200 yards after the main crossroad in the middle of Newport. The junction is located by the 'Parrog Road' name which is halfway up a house wall above the junction. (There is a fee paying CP in Newport village which I believe only takes card payments). PLEASE CONTACT THE LEADERS TO BOOK A PLACE AS LIMITED NUMBERS.
