We are the Cheshire Walkers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
I have chosen the safest route to hike up to Carrauntoohil.
We will start hiking from Hydro CarPark to Caher then follow the Coomloughra horseshoe route to the Summit.
After reaching the summit, we walk down from Devil’s Ladder (alternatively using zigzag route next to) to Cronin’s Yard CarPark.
Please Note :
This walk is only open to members who are taking part in the CW weekend away.
This will be a linear walk rather than circular walk therefore we need to plan where to park the cars in order to transport hikers in between starting and ending points.
This is the main walk of Ireland Expedition therefore everyone should have a good rest and well prepared before doing this hike.
Unfortunately the circular walk option is not suitable for some of CW members therefore we have decided to do a linear walk instead.
We will hopefully cover a few Macgillycuddy’s Reeks in one walk.
