An circular walk of approximately 9 miles through the countryside to the south-east of Nelson, including parts of the Burnley Way, Pendle Way and Bronte Way. Starting from the small car park at Walverden Reservoir, we firstly walk to the small village of Catlow before tracking east to the Coldwell Reservoirs. We then loop round to Cockden before returning north to our starting point.
Although a substantial portion of the walk is on good paths, roads and paths, there are stretches across fields and near streams, meaning some places will be muddy: good walking boots will therefore be needed. Livestock are highly likely to be encountered when passing through fields.
Car parking is limited, so car sharing is recommended.
