Overview

Enjoy some wide views and undulating countryside as we explore three attractive Nottinghamshire villages via the field paths, lanes and woods between them. From the starting point at Caunton, we'll also visit the more 'hidden' villages of Maplebeck and Winkburn.

Layby on eastbound side (towards Newark) of A616 near corner of Manor Road into Caunton village (second right turn for Caunton when heading away from Newark). Take care when crossing carriageway to enter layby. Recommend sharing transport wherever possible, to reduce number of cars.
