Overview

This walk will start by walking over Cefn Hirgoed which is bound to be very wet and boggy underfoot at this time of year !

You need to be nimble on bogs !

Once we come south of the M4, it's still liable to be wet but not as boggy apart from one area. We will make our way across the northern edge of the golf club and down to Shelf then follow the valley of Nant Bryn-glas back to Coity.

Sunday, 12 January 2025
Start time:
9:30 am
Estimated finish time:
4:00 pm
Difficulty:
Moderate
Distance:
14.5km / 9.0mi

The grading is based on conditions underfoot !

No big ascents but one long descent on steps.

It's quite a few years since I last led this walk but you will be familiar with parts of it from evening walks.

Please come well prepared with poles, gaiters and waterproof boots.

Hope to see you there !

Jackie.
