Walk cancelled due to leader illness
We are the Hillingdon Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a linear walk.
We will meet at Chalfont & Latimer, Met Line station and then criss cross the Chess Valley through Latimer & Sarratt. There are a couple of gentle hills and some lovely views before we descend from Sarratt and follow the River Chess to Sarratt Mill. Using permissive footpaths we ascend to Chorleywood Common. We will walk around Chorleywood house and have lunch by the Community Cafe. where there will be an opportunity to purchase a "take out" drink. Please bring your own cup due to local bylaws whereby the cafe are unable to provide take out cups.
After lunch (or before) it is possible to return independently to Chorleywood Met line station or complete a short circuit of Chorleywood Common with the group. The walk finishes at Chorleywood Station.

Estimated Finish time: 2.30pm
Start Point. Meet outside station on the Bedford Avenue side. There is a pay car park next to the station. Free car parking in Westwood Park off Chenies Avenue with a 10 minute walk to the start point. The walk ends at Chorleywood Station. Therefore any one using the car parks will need to travel back, one stop from Chorleywood to Chalfont & Latimer.
